Update...

This is my new attempt at blogging.  Recently I have been taking classes in mixed media, watercolor, and other forms of art and papercrafts.  I am still learning...

I've been inspired!!!

To keep up with this blog better, that is! A face-to-face friend started a blog today...and seeing hers WITH pictures made me want to get back in the groove here and blog, blog, blog! I will write more tomorrow...at least I am saying have a great weekend!

Magnolia Stamps, OH MY!!!

I have discovered Magnolia Stamps. WOW...and I do mean WOW! I love these cute little stamps! I have expanded my Copics selection, and am also expanding my Magnolia Stamp selection...YAY!

I think it all has to do with the fact that I loved to color from the time a crayon was put into my chubby little hand. And now the Copics are Grown-Up Crayons, and the Magnolia Stamps are a Grown-Up coloring book playground!

Wow...who would have thought that a little bit of ink, a little bit of cardstock, and some markers could bring such joy?

Just saying...I LOVE MAGNOLIAS and COPICS!!!

How can it be April already???

Well, so many things have happened since I last posted...

My lofty idea of trying out for the design team was indeed too lofty and I never got past the ideas in my brain...lol.

A family member was hospitalized for over a week...but thank God is doing much better.

I am planning a weekend of crafting and relaxing this weekend.

New Blog Title...Teena Makes Crafts

I originally had my blog titled Teena Crafts. I just realized today via google that there is someone who has a business named Teena Crafts or Teena's Crafts.

In respect to that person, I have changed my blog name. They did not ask me to do so, and they more than likely have no clue that I even have a blog. But Teena IS my name...and I do make crafts...so there we go...a new name...:)

Today I have been working on some swaps and challenges, and toying with the idea of trying out for a design team. A sinus headache is making me keep my crafting simple today...and I may just go get food and crawl back into bed for a few hours. Then maybe I will feel more like doing something...lol.

One thing I did discover today are Zentangles. If you like to doodle, or want to try doodling, check that out on the web.

There are some good tutorials on youtube.

I will try to post my Zentangles I have made and kept at a later time. They are too fun!!!

PS--My Grandma was a doodler. She doodled on EVERY piece of paper she could find. I have some of her cherished letters on which she doodled. She was good at it too....:)

A Good Crafting Weekend!!!

This was such a good weekend for crafting!

I started off on Thursday night with a cardmaking class at my LSS...and they had a big sale going on, and Friday was payday...LOL. (goodbye money)

Then on Friday I went shopping in every direction from the grocery store to the crafts store. LOL.

Saturday and Sunday a friend had some gals from a local yahoo stamping group over to her house for all kinds of stamping and cardmaking. WHAT a fun weekend... And to top it off, on Saturday I had yet another class in paper piecing. Wow...busy busy busy!!!

Even my dear boyfriend got in on the cardmaking action when he named my friend who was the hostess of the retreat as the "Cardmaking Goddess" of all time...LOL!!!
He loves handmade cards, and he loves me, so he's quite a keeper...:)

I got home tonite and just sat in front of the computer and tried to relax a bit. Work will come soon enough tomorrow....but tonight is the end of the weekend...and I just am going to relax!

This week, I promise to try to follow my friend Debbie's tutorship and get some pictures on this blog! YAY!!!

Wow...Long time, No post!

I just realized just how very long it had been since I came here and posted. I have grown so much in my crafting this past year. Online and face-to-face friends have taught me to "follow my muse" and to think outside the box. I have had a very very tiny box for a long time. It consisted of stamps, stamp pads, and paper...and maybe a paper trimmer and some mono adhesive.

Now my stash has grown and grown to overflowing! I own such things as glimmer mist, stickles, grungeboard, and pop dots! LOL. That's just the tip of the iceberg. I have tried many new techniques including paper piecing, sanding, distressing, blinging, and covering chipboard!

I have made new things such as an art doll, a tiny town made with one-inch cubes, bubbles technique, stamping on cork, and glittering. YES...I who hate glitter now like it a lot...LOL.

And oh oh oh...I discovered my cuttlebug more fully than ever...yay!!!

It's amazing what a class or two will do for you artistically! Even if it is just something you see on youtube that inspires you...that's still a class of sorts...

Art is great because nobody can know your mind and your muse, therefore you create the right way...YOUR way...yeah!

I'm so loving this blog this time around...and I hope I will post here for months to come...
